Fatal Dog Attacks by Breed

The debate over the danger of Pit Bull dogs is contentious but as the data has been compiled over the past couple of decades it is becoming quite clear which breed presents the dominate risk of death. Ironically, in 2011, the victims of over half of the deaths caused by pit bull attacks were either the owners of the dog(s) or a family member. The statistics, as expected also confirm that the elderly and young children are the most likely victims.

California and Texas lead all other states in fatalities caused by dog attacks.

Protect your children and protect your friends.

Knowledge of and understanding the relative risks should motivate all to avoid confrontations with Pit Bulls.
